How we handle your students' information

When StudentIgnite contacts your students, we act on your behalf, under our agreement with you.

What we do

  • We only use your students' information to deliver StudentIgnite to you.
  • We don't sell it, use it for our own marketing or share it with other providers.
  • We honour opt-outs, and messages include a way to stop receiving them.
  • We may use information that doesn't identify you or any student, such as overall response times, to measure and improve StudentIgnite.

What Herbot doesn't decide

Herbot doesn't make admission, enrolment or funding decisions. Funding and eligibility guidance always tells students that your team confirms final eligibility. You remain responsible for those decisions and for any offer you make to a student.

Your responsibilities

Your enquiry forms and privacy policy govern what your students have been told. You're responsible for:

  • telling students, in your privacy policy, that their information may be shared with service providers like StudentIgnite to contact them about their enquiry, including by SMS and messaging
  • telling students, on your enquiry forms, that they may be contacted by SMS and messaging about their enquiry
  • only loading or connecting leads you're lawfully allowed to contact
  • keeping your course, fee and entry requirement information accurate
  • only asking screening questions for information you need, and handling USIs in line with the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (Cth)
  • complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and education regulations.

Please note

This is general information, not legal or compliance advice. We don't check whether your privacy policy or enquiry forms are adequate. If you're unsure, seek your own advice.
